Yes, you have to upload the whole item.

From the item replacer page (the documentation is quite clear):

"Upload all the files for the item (not just the ones you want to change) into this directory. Any files you do not upload into this directory will be deleted from the live item!"

thanks for your answer. please give me the link where i can find the info in the documentation. i've searched with "replace", "update", and so on, but i can't find anything :/

anyway, if i understood you, i can now re-upload my whole release again and then just import it again. the current will be deleted and the new one will be added. right?
